Contemporary Worship Service
This contemporary worship service is less formal than traditional formats. Music is provided (on the first and third Sundays) by “Common Lot,” the St. John praise band. This group includes several vocalists as well as guitar, percussion, and keyboard.
- On the second and fourth Sundays, music is provided by an eclectic mix of recorded songs from contemporary Christian artists as well as a smaller combo featuring drums and piano.
- Scriptures are read in easy to understand translations, and the message is shared in a way that invites those attending to participate.
- The St. John Sunday School program also meets at this same time, so busy parents can get their children off for classes and stay for worship.
“Common Lot”
Directed by Steve Jackson
“Common Lot” members include:
Lead Guitar: Steve Jackson
Pecussion: Scott Gallagher
Keyboard: Julie Daab, Paul Bickel

“Common Lot” shares in worship on the first and third Sundays of every month as part of St. John’s contemporary worship service. This group includes several vocalists as well as lead and bass guitars, percussion, and keyboard.
Members try to stay on top of the contemporary Christian music scene, sharing songs that speak in today’s language and use today’s music to communicate the good news of God’s love.
On the second and fourth Sundays, music is provided by a mix of recorded songs from well-known contemporary Christian artists as well as a smaller combo featuring drums, piano, and bass guitar.
